Kind to you, kind to the planet

From our conception we have committed to be a sustainable business, taking great care to assess every element of our production and delivery process. We’d like to take a moment to explain the steps we have taken and a little on what’s next.

Packaging

All our packaging is recyclable and compostable. Our pouches, which keep your capsules dry and at their optimum for 2 years, contain no nasty foil liners or plastics, while our slim, craft delivery boxes fit neatly through your letterbox and use as little card as possible. We encourage you to recycle our delivery boxes and pouches after use. Even the motivational & recipe cards we pop into each box are printed on pulped paper.

Product

It common practice to top up capsules with fillers, that is to say ingredients such rice flour, sugar or salt merely to fill dead space. We never use fillers, and our capsules are always full to the brim with active ingredients. This means you’re not only getting the maximum health benefit, but it reduces waste as fewer capsules are required to achieve meet your nutritional needs. For similar reasons we avoid tablets which require binders, such as sugar derivatives, to stop them falling apart.

Our products use natural, actvie ingredients only and you can rest assured they are GMO free.

We have many more unique and exciting formulations in the pipeline and we want our products to be accessible for everyone, which is why our range is Kosher certified. Our formulations are also Vegan, free from soy, nuts and allergies.

Production & Transportation

All our products are made in England, Sussex to be precise, to keep our air miles to a minimum. We believe our manufacturing plant is the only one in the UK run on 100% renewable energy.

One click wonder

Everything available at a click is wonderful, and direct to consumer companies such as ours have come to the fore during the Covid-19 pandemic. We understand our responsibility and have committed to offset all carbon emissions caused by our deliveries. The mileage is each delivery is tallied, and then an investment into a preservation project, which preserves 50,480 hectares of primarily virgin Amazon forest, the Jari Pará.

What’s next?

We are working towards our B Corp certification, and we’ll let you know when that is achieved. We will look for new innovative solutions to leave no trace and to invest in environmental projects. If have a project you’d like us to consider, please drop us a quick note  to support@emily-alice.co.uk
